Women in Network (WIN) was launched in 1987 and is one of the oldest Lesbian organizations in Florida.
Women in Network is a South Florida community organization dedicated to the development, leadership, and empowerment of LBT women, their friends and supporters.
WIN is a non-profit group providing professional and business networking opportunities, social and recreational events, advocacy efforts, health and educational programs, and philanthropic and scholarship support.
It's a new year,
it's a NEW WIN!
We've changed the way WIN is working.
Starting in 2014, we will no longer be holding a general meeting on the first Wednesday of every month.
INSTEAD, we'll be bringing you 3+ events per month, including workshops/seminars, entertainment, recreation, health-related events, networking events, etc.
Watch your email and keep checking the WIN Events Calendar for up-to-date information.
We're confident that this new format will be more interesting, allow more variety in programming, and give people a greater opportunity to participate in WIN programming. We hope you'll enjoy it, take part in the programming, and, if you have an idea for an event that you would like to lead, please let us know!
Proud to be named 2013 Best Social Network for Women
in SFGN's Best of Gay Friendly South Florida 2013
to the WIN Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Trans Kids Purple Rainbow Foundation
I have been a member of WIN for several years. I find the commitment to community service and the empowerment of women to be exceptional...
I believe in WIN's positive influence on our community. The opportunities that they can provide with the support of our community and funding will provide the platform for education, growth and new opportunities or the women of our community and for our local economy.
One of the most significant opportunities WIN offers is to provide an organization that serves a wide group of women, ranging from those in their 20's and just starting out, to those in their 50's and well established in their fields, to those who have retired from actively working and now seek to share their skills with others. If not for WIN, we simply would not have met each other. The younger women keeps the group current on what is going on today, while those with more experience teach others so they don't have to "reinvent the wheel"....
I can personally say that without a doubt my life is better because of the women and programs WIN has brought together.
